Sorentinos' newsLUCKY BUCK AND THE WINNERS ! Howdy amigos! My musical love letter to classic country music "The Uncomplicated Mind of Lucky Buck" is out now and will be available soon on CD baby.com and itunes and other online music stores. Some artists have a cubist period, this is my Rube-ist period! For the time being, you can e-mail me and I will be glad to send you a copy of the finest country record every made by a I-talian. That I know of anyway! For those of you in northern California you can get it now at The Last Record Store in Santa Rosa and Backdoor Disc in Cotati. The band is called Lucky Buck and the Winners, and has my old pal Kent Fossgreen on bass guitar, the fine country lead guitar picking of John Salz, and holding down the drummer chair... Mr. Kenny Susan of Sorentino fame. Speaking of The Sorentinos ,we have just returned from our annual gig in Virginia City, Nevada. We had a great time like we always do. It’s getting to be a very cool shindig, with more and more Sorentino fans and friends coming up and staying for the weekend. If all goes well, we will see you at The Washoe Bar next year. Now that my country record is done I will start looking at the next Sorentinos CD. I hope to get it out before the year is done, but I am not sure. Albums are a lot of work! But I will try to get one out for Christmas. Well keep your eyes on the road and your hands upon the wheel , and we hope to see you at a gig soon, Danny "Lucky Buck" Sorentino ******************************************************************************** Upcoming gigs September 25 - Lucky Buck and the Winners Debut Gig. "When Mojo spoke to the Sonoma County roots rockers last year, they confessed
their love for British audiences who (helped in no small part by Bob Harris)
have developed a passion for the band's pure, personal melodies. They
return armed with tracks from gutsy new album 'All Good Things...'; make
some noise when they visit." "If you like a little bit of Rock, Country and Blues - you'll love The
Sorentinos. A Class A act - one of the freshest sounding to come out of
America since The Jayhawks." "I really like the Sorentinos. Their music is fresh, lyrically original,
slightly de-constructed and in the tradition of the best American guitar-driven
singles. It's just a matter of time, guys!"
