Sorentinos' newsJuly 2010 Hello Again from Sunny California It's Summertime in California at long last! It was a really long winter here, lots of rain, but now it's time for some fun in the sun! First of all let's get on with the good news. Mr. Kenny Susan will be back in the drum chair for The Sorentinos July 3rd at the Russian River Brewing Co. in Santa Rosa! We are gonna be rocking for the month of July and continue to do so into the first few weeks of August! Then we have to wait and see how Kenny reacts to his radiation treatments and we will take it from there. I would also like to mention that we will have a tip jar out for an independent movie my friends Don Lewis and John Beck are making about the Ugly Dog Contest in Petaluma. I know how hard it is to put out your own project, dealing with money, or lack there of, while still trying to maintain the quality and vision of your art is not for the squeamish! Anyway, we will try to help them along the best we can on July 3rd! Now on to other matters that matter, I have been a bit stalled on The Chills cd simply because I have not had the time to finish up the overdubs yet. My day job has been taking up way too much of my time and other pressing matters (my daughter Nora was married 3 weeks ago) have had to take precedent. I will finish the CD this year I promise! I am also working on getting out a acoustic album this year along with Vol. Two of The Sorentinos leftovers, so lots of stuff for stuffing the Christmas stocking this year! So if you are in the San Francisco bay area or in Virginia City Nevada in August come by and check out a gig or two. I will be taking off the month of September and some of October to go see my daughter Lily play her last year of college soccer at LMU. Then we will be back for gigs in November and December, there may be a few weekday gigs thrown in if i can manage it.
